The Comprehensive & Strategic Master Plan consists of a series of recommendations that will guide decision-making and investments over a 5-year period. The Comprehensive & Strategic Master Plan supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Park District and serves as a living document that provides the foundation for future plans and addresses the changing needs of the community.

In 2024, the Park District completed a year-long Comprehensive & Strategic Master Planning Process to chart a course of action for the next 5 years. Developing a long-range vision for park and recreation programs and services in our community allows the Park District of Oak Park to continue to provide the many individual, community, economic, and environmental benefits that enhance quality of life and make our community a great place to work and play.
