Welcome to the Park District of Oak Park’s esports program! We provide a social videogaming experience for both youth and adults. Our Esports Lounge at the Community Recreation Center holds open labs Monday-Thursday, Saturday, and Sundays. From esports enrichment classes, practicing with teammates, to celebrating private parties, we offer a variety of exciting activities and opportunities for gamers of all ages and skill levels.

Open Lab hours vary by school days.
Monday-Thursday | 6:30-8:00P (3:00-8:00P on no-school days)
3rd, 4th, 5th Thursday of the Month | 8:00-10:00P (adults only)
Saturday | 10:00A-12:00P (8-11 years old only)
Sunday | 10:00A-12:00P | 3:00-5:00P

The Esports Lounge is open to participants ages 7 and older. Children ages 4–6 may attend only when accompanied and actively supervised by a parent or guardian.

No. Guests may sign in using their own gaming accounts or use one of the Esports Lounge’s available guest accounts. Some games may require you to use your own account to access purchased content.

Game downloads require approval from onsite Esports staff or by contacting esports@pdop.org. If approved, you must own the game on your personal gaming account. Requests for Mature (M-rated) games are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must follow Park District policies.

Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own controllers, headsets, keyboards, or other gaming accessories. The Park District is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Yes. Guests who are not members may purchase a One-Day Pass ($15) to access the Esports Lounge and other eligible CRC amenities.

Gaming stations are available on a first-come, first-served basis during Open Lab.

The Esports Lounge has a maximum occupancy of 25 guests.

To help keep our equipment clean and in great condition, food and beverages must be consumed outside of the Esports Lounge.

Yes! Private gaming events, tournaments, and group rentals may be available depending on facility availability.

The party host may arrive 30 minutes before the party begins to decorate and set up. Guests should arrive at the scheduled party start time.

Birthday guests have access to a variety of age-appropriate games across our gaming PCs, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation consoles. A current game list is available on our website. Let our staff know your preferred games before or at the beginning of the party, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your group’s interests!

We recommend serving food, cake, and refreshments towards the beginning or end of your reservation (after gaming). This helps keep gaming equipment clean and allows staff time to sanitize stations before the next event.

Birthday party admission includes access to the reserved party spaces only (Lounge and Party Room).

The party room includes:

  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Sink

You may bring:

  • Decorations
  • Tableware (plates, cups, napkins, utensils)
  • Food and drinks
  • Cake or desserts
  • Sticky-tack if you wish to hang decorations on the walls

An Esports Party Staff will be present throughout the event to assist with game setup, answer questions, facilitate gameplay, and help ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience.
