Located in the northeast corner of Oak Park, Andersen Park offers a wide array of programs for a variety of ages, interests and abilities. The park features a small soccer field and playground and splash pad including a bell-shaped spray feature, directional jets, and ground geysers. When not used for a variety of programs, the multi-purpose room at Andersen Center provides a great rental opportunity for parties, showers, and meetings.

History
Acquired in 1916, the park is named after children’s author Hans Christian Andersen and includes a recreation center originally designed by John S. Van Bergen. In 2006, renovations to Andersen Park were made, including a new playground and the addition of a new splash pad.
