Demonstration Event

Enjoy 90 acres of the Mayslake Forest Preserve. Bring a lunch and use the dozens of picnic tables and grassy areas to take in the wetlands, lakes, ponds, and restored prairie. Participants with a valid Illinois fishing license can fish largemouth bass, bluegill, carp, channel catfish, crappie, green sunfish and black bullhead on the northern shores of Trinity and Mays’ lakes. We will finish the day learning about the past and future of this historic 1920s Tudor Revival-style mansion on a 45- to 60-minute tour at 12:30pm.
