Contour Fish Sculpture

Paper is commonly thought of as a material strictly for use in two-dimensional art. However, it can be a form of sculpture, especially when various types of paper are combined as a collage. In this project, students create a three-dimensional “contour line drawing” out of soft, flexible sculpture wire, then cover it with decorative papers and tissue. The finished sculptures are lightweight and whimsical.
